Hair we are!!

Cody born with impossible cowlicks... Trey lucked out that way too...

Um...yep pretty much look like this all the time.... :)

Just MAYBE they came by it honestly....

Hairs to you!!

Thanksgiving, a day early.

We got to enjoy Thanksgiving a day early at Greg's family's home, with the addition of our two younger sons, Kelly and Danny, and the Elders from their ward. It was quite a day, my favorite days are the ones spent with our family. Dan and Kelly are on their way home today and we are hoping they have a safe journey as the passes will be bad again today.

Wrestling , as always. What's a family gathering without wrestling??

Family is the GREATEST blessing.

Poppy...doing what he loves!

Having waaaaay too much fun today!

Oh, yeah...I remember this maple and blue spruce from less than a month ago...sad to see the snow come
ONLY because it does NOT know when to go away. We basically have 4-5 months of winter, about 2 days of spring and maybe 40 days of real summer if we are lucky!!

Couldn't we even this out some??

I started out cute....

1 year 4 days old
August 20 1953
Janet Dee Murray
dad called me "peanut"

My how things change!

I don't know the exact year for this but I would guess early 50's. Go on there, little lady, give that baby some cola everyday, be good for 'em!

I don't think that would fly today.

Also remember a cereal jingle from way back then....♫ Oh the pops are sweeter and the taste is new...they're SHOT with SUGAR through and through ♪ Kellogg's Sugar Corn Pops...Sugar Pops are tops
Today they want you to believe everything is sugar and salt reduced, vitamin enriched and 'healthy'. Would be fun to compare the labels of 50 years ago to today, don't ya think?

Penny Soup, which I first learned about by reading Pulitzer Prize winner Anne Tyler, is called so because of the round pieces of vegetables that resemble coins....a fun name for kids---Penny Soup as opposed to vegetable soup.
Other people call it Autumn Soup because it is made with vegetables harvested out of our gardens last.
I used the following approximately:
1 sweet potato
1 yam
1 large carrot
1 zuccinni
4 tiny new red potatoes
4 mushrooms
1 parsnip
2 leeks
melt 2 T. butter and 2 T. EVOO
into a large saucepan or dutch oven size pan
heat til bubbly
add the vegetable rounds (1/4" thick or so)
saute to brown slightly
While this is going bring 1 Qt or more of vegetable broth to a boil
and pour over the vegetables
bring to a boil
turn down heat and
let simmer a few minutes until done about 8 to 10 minutes
don't over cook...tender not overdone.
Drain broth off of vegetables
Put broth into a blender with about 1/3 of the vegetables and puree
add all ingredients back together
YUMMY! Heavenly!
All it needs is some homemade rolls and butter
this is truly the best soup I've ever flopped my lip over. How did I get to be 58 years old and I've never had it before????

Princess Fredrica's new adventure...

Waiting for the process to start....(scoping) and feeling nervous, Nah-nah reading her a special letter from Daddy.

Greyson...it's still early...he's fresh, still happy and high energy!

Waiting...waiting....next step the IV.
Playing the V-tech, trying not to think about it.

The FUN lady who does a marvelous job of distracting Harley while the IV is put in place.

Snack time....these fritos are mine right?

And CRASH! Finally got tired and took a nap in the Radio Flyer. A very quick nap I might add!

Procedures over....
The good news is they found nothing wrong. Bad news...they found nothing wrong. Some little biopsies being done. Next might be a look at the small intestine. She got a blue moose from her Poppy to be with her and a blonde blue-eyed Teddy at the end.
She was a brave little girl! Love you Harley!

**Little Gobblins**

Somebody tastes like "CHICKEN". First he was standing (sorta). Then...he was down. I got the feeling we were at the "boneless" chicken ranch.

Here are the other three siblings of that bunch...Sage --a cross dresser. Gabe a Seahawk. Harley was Rapunzel!

The monster.....Poppy ran downstairs and put on a mask we've had forevvver, and came around to the front door to startle the kiddos. They said "Hi, Poppy!"

Roar!! Beauty and the Beast!!

And a little KISSY ♥!!

CJ and Brian aka
Thing 1 and Thing 2
They are so close in age and size they look like they could be twins!!

Suzi's boys.....
Li'l Dinosaurs!!

Darling hat....another Suzi creation.
Will post Emily and Owen ASAP
