It was 1o years ago today that Norm had a PET scan and was pronounced cancer free, after a very difficult year of; cancer diagnosis, treatment plan, surgery, chemo, radiation, more chemo. He was and is very fortunate to have survived the mid-line t-cell lymphoma.
Happy New year to us!!
This is also our fortieth wedding anniversary year... the custom made charm says "40"

Let it snow!

Got 10" today. It is so beautiful!
Cory tree on the left and my struggling little lilac bush and Sage tree under the wire frame (to protect it from the deer).
My Azaelea bush really weighed down. Hope it survives. Can't see it but the bottom rung on the fence is buried!

Oh, Greyson!
Love your snuggles, buddy!

Oh Danny boy! Happy 27th Birthday!

I know this collection of pictures is going to pop up all mumbo-jumbo but 'live with it'.
Danny had the misfortune of being born Christmas Eve Day in 1983, it is cool to celebrate your birthday along with the birthday of our Savior -- but then again he never really got his own day out of it. It wasn't enough that I needed to have Christmas ready for 7 children, a spouse and all grandparents, let's add a birthday!! (working mom) ☼ what an idea!
Danny has been my old soul, self rising kid.
NEVER one seconds trouble. He came being about 50 years old in his heart and has been a total pleasure always.
Here are some of my faves of ol Danny boy!
Happy Birthday, Son!

And then in a twinkling I heard on the roof...

prancing and pawing
of each little hoof...

Look kiddos--Santa must have been checking out our chimney a couple of days early....wants to be sure to find all the good little girls and boys!!

another yummy winter soup

Fully Loaded Baked Potato Soup from the internet....
2 # baking potatoes scrubbed and cubed
1/2# bacon sliced into bits
4 C chicken stock
4 green onions sliced
2 C milk
1/4 C flour
2 C cheddar cheese shredded
1 C sour cream
salt and fresh ground pepper

fry bacon, add potatoes & cook @ med for about 10 minutes, add stock and green onions, continue on medium until potatoes are done but not overdone. Add mixture of milk and flour, stir while getting hot and thickening but be careful not to scald. Add shredded cheese, melt and stir in sour cream. Salt and pepper to taste.

O Christmas Tree

After thinking about it
I wished I had posted our Christmas Tree
last year
it was huge and after it had been up a couple of days
it crashed.
We had to take it out and so by the time family came for Christmas the tree was gone.
Had I posted it....
they could have seen it sort of.
So if I prepare
maybe this year-- it won't happen.
